| The EP+P-Philosophy |
We remain convinced that, in an interconnected and interdependent world, effective negotiation is a key success factor and therefore also a core management skill, especially for top managers. The EP+P company profile puts forward some guiding principles that express our fundamental worldview and form the basis of all our everyday negotiation training activities. As a consulting and training organization specialized in the area of „negotiation“ we are guided by a company profile that defines our approach to the field and that governs all of our client dealings as well. Our core competence lies in the translation and further development of the ideas of the original Harvard Method, adapting them to the particular needs of the European negotiation context. Through constant adaptation and innovation, and by incorporating further success factors relevant to good negotiation, we have developed a uniquely „practical negotiation model“ appropriate to the challenges of the European culture. This model, while based on the „win-win“ philosophy, also considers how to deal with partners who come from a very different negotiation culture, such as those driven by a „win-lose“ mentality and strategy. Our close contact with the empirical research being conducted at Harvard University, coupled with our own ongoing development work and practical Experience, provide the customer guarantee for technical competence and quality. The foundation of our work is the authorization and licensing agreement we maintain with the Harvard Negotiation Project at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. We offer our training and consulting programs under the title „Open Negotiation According to the Harvard Concept®“. In these programs, we cover virtually all conceivable interpersonal communication methods and are able to address all sorts of interests, such as those of entrepreneurs, managers (especially those with responsibility for strategic purchasing, consulting and sales, project management, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, team development, etc.), attorneys, industry association executives, management consultants and politicians. Our international, technically very diverse and multicultural associate consultant team is especially attuned to building bridges between the particular needs of different negotiation cultures. |
